Livia Mahler

Ms. Mahler is a director of publicly-traded Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. and is a member of its Audit Committee and Compensation Committee. She is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of Computational Geosciences Inc., a provider of leading edge technological solutions for geophysical survey explorations, and a partner and co-founder of Greenstone Venture Partners, a Vancouver based venture capital fund targeting private early-stage technology companies in the area of information technologies. The $40 million fund was formed in 2000 and attracted institutional investors from Canada, USA and Asia. Prior to Greenstone, Ms. Mahler spent six years as a Senior Investment Manager for the Business Development Bank of Canada and was a founding General Partner for the Western Technology Seed Investment Fund. Her previous experience also includes seven years as a medical researcher at the University of British Columbia and a financial analyst position with the City of Vancouver. Ms. Mahler is widely recognized for her strategic insights into the Canadian venture industry. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Maurice Young Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Research Centre at the Sauder Business School at the University of British Columbia and on the Institutional Committee of the Canadian Venture Capital Association. She received a Master of Business Administration in 1991 from the University of British Columbia and Bachelor of Science degree in 1981 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
